A loving, inclusive Christian church in Greenville, SC

Welcome!

Senior Pastor ARBC Matt King

Welcome to Augusta Road Baptist Church. I hope that you will take some time to explore our site and to get to know our church, the people who make up our fellowship, and the different ministries and missions in which we are proud to take part.

We at Augusta Road Baptist Church strive to be a loving, inclusive Christian fellowship that seeks to form disciples and transform communities. Together we do our best to follow the example of Jesus Christ, who taught us to love God with our entire being and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. All are welcome to worship with us, to learn, to grow, to serve God, and to explore what it means to follow Jesus among loving and supportive people.

We are a church of the Christian faith that is rooted in the practices of the Baptist tradition. That means that we want to encourage anyone and everyone to experience and connect with God in ways that make the faith relevant for them. We value diversity of thought. We recognize the unique gifts within every person for ministry and service. And we respect the right of all people to practice their faith in accordance with their conscience.

Each week we offer opportunities for worship that we hope will enable all in attendance to encounter the Spirit of Christ in community, and to experience the reality of the teachings of our faith in ways that challenge us to go out into the communities in which we live, work, and play to serve those we meet with the love of Christ. Our worship experiences follow the seasons of the Christian year in ways that connect us to fellow Christ-followers around the world and throughout history. We want to be creative and reverent as we worship God, always trying to more clearly understand the ways in which our faith relates to the challenges we face every day.

As you explore this site you will find many different ways to connect with our fellowship. I encourage you to check out our calendar to find the opportunity that best fits you and your needs. In all that we do we hope to grow deeper in our relationship with God and closer in our relationships with each other and with our community. Feel free to contact me if I can answer any questions you might have, or give you more information.

The best way to get to know us is by visiting us in person. I hope that you will join us for any of the opportunities we offer to worship, explore and study the scriptures, fellowship with our congregation, and serve our community. You are always welcome with us.

Peace,

Rev. W. Mattison King
