It is our tradition at this time of the year to collect school supplies for students in Allendale and Greenville Counties for the coming school year. This year we will be partnering with three different groups as we support our students and teachers: Emma’s Helping Hands in Allendale, Hollis Academy in Greenville, and Greenville Church Without Walls, one of our ARCUM partners as they minister to the Shemwood community.
We are collecting school supplies for Emma’s Helping Hands until Sunday, Augusta 6. We are also collecting backpacks and school supplies for Hollis Academy and the Greenville Church Without Walls project until Sunday, August 13. We will hold a blessing of the backpacks moment for the supplies we collected during worship on Sunday, August 13.
Items needed: loose leaf notebook paper, pencils, pocket folders, spiral notebooks, marble composition notebooks, 1 inch binders, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, crayons, glue sticks, ziploc bags (any size), white copy paper, and backpacks (no wheels)
We will continue to focus our attention throughout the month of August on all those who are going back to school. During worship on Sunday, August 20, we will ask God’s blessings on all students, teachers, administrators, and school staff members. Please plan to be part of all of these efforts as we support our future leaders and all those who are working to mold them.
