Our mission statement says it all: Augusta Road Baptist Church is a loving, inclusive Christian fellowship that seeks to form disciples and transform communities through worship, spiritual growth, ministry and missions. We look to the Great Commandment as our guiding principle: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:35-40; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 10:25-28). When we think about our mission work, we also look to the Great Commission: Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:16-20).
We take this mission seriously, and we designate a portion of our collective time, budget and prayer to missions efforts on a local, regional, national and international level.

Regional mission work: We work with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina to support organizations and programs on a regional level. It starts with a special offering that we collect each September. The Beverly Greer Offering for State Missions helps CBF of SC partner with life-giving ministries across our state, including Metanoia in North Charleston and Palmetto Works in Conway. National and international mission work: We support the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship through the annual Offering for Global Missions, which supports long-term field personnel serving in 30 countries, 50 Student.Go interns and hundreds of short-term mission teams annually.
